EgyptLoofah.com is a reference site about one subject: loofah from Egypt. It follows the plant from the Nile Delta field to the importer’s warehouse and explains the papers a buyer needs on the way.
The site is published by EGEXO For Export in Damanhour, Egypt. EGEXO is a family-run manufacturer and exporter of natural Egyptian loofah (Luffa aegyptiaca). The loofah comes from our own farms and partner farms in the Nile Delta and is processed in our own factory. We have been exporting since 2015 and have shipped to more than 40 countries.
What you will find here
- How loofah is grown and harvested in Egypt, and why the Nile Delta suits it
- How Egyptian loofah compares with loofah from other origins
- Export papers and HS codes, and the steps for importing into the USA, Europe and other markets
- Practical notes for first-time buyers who source from Egypt
Papers we hold
EGEXO holds a Certificate of Origin or EUR.1 (issued with every export order except express parcels), a Phytosanitary Certificate and an Export License. The company’s quality, environmental and occupational health and safety management systems are certified to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001, and its good manufacturing practices to ISO 22716. These certificates cover the company’s systems, not individual products. You can see them on egexo.com.
What this site is not
It is not a shop. Nothing is sold here and there is no price list. Quotes and samples are handled by our team through the forms on egexo.com. To start, read about EGEXO or go to the contact page.
